The Fifty-Kilometre Radius

How the Coverage Map Works

The Greenpoint coverage map is a hub-and-spoke pattern. The Powassan HQ at 168 Greenpoint Road sits at the centre, and the truck reaches every covered town inside a fifty-kilometre drive. Drive times below are typical for the route the crew runs, not a straight-line distance.

Hub

Where the truck starts

Powassan. 168 Greenpoint Road. The Township of Powassan sits on the Highway 11 corridor in the Parry Sound District. Trout Creek and downtown Powassan are the closest neighbourhoods to the shop.

North Spoke

~40 min drive

North Bay via Highway 11 north. Lake Nipissing properties from Memorial Drive west to Lakeshore Drive, downtown along Algonquin Avenue, and the Trout Lake area on the eastern edge.

Northeast Spoke

~30 min drive

Callander via Highway 11 South. Callander Bay shoreline, Cranberry Bay, and the year-round residential streets that sit between Highway 11 and the lake.

East Spokes

Rural route day

Astorville, Chisholm, and Corbeil. Three rural communities along the Wasi Lake and Wasi River corridor. The crew loops them on a single route day to keep windshield time low and acreage time high.

Boundary

Where coverage ends

Anything more than fifty kilometres from 168 Greenpoint Road sits outside the current coverage map. South of Trout Creek, north past Trout Lake, and east beyond Wasi River fall into the no-coverage zone for now.

One Provider, All Six Towns

Why Owners with Multiple Properties Use Greenpoint

A surprising number of Greenpoint customers own more than one property inside the coverage map (a home in North Bay, a cottage on Callander Bay, a parents' property in Powassan). One provider across all six towns turns three calendars into one.

One Schedule, Zero Coordination

Three contractors juggling three properties means three voicemails when something needs to change. Greenpoint runs a single route day for each town, so the cottage in Callander and the home in North Bay both sit on a known weekly slot.

Identical Standard, Town to Country

The mowing height, edging line, and clean-up standard practiced at Clear Springs Golf Course gets applied at a downtown Powassan duplex and at a wooded acreage in Chisholm Township the same way. No B-team for the rural runs.

One Quote, Every Property

Owners of multiple properties get a single consolidated quote covering every address. One invoice each month, one billing contact, and one Travis Young to call when a tenant or a neighbour flags something on the lot.

A Quick Note on the Map

Why the Coverage Map Stops at Fifty Kilometres

Greenpoint Lawn Care may grow beyond the current fifty-kilometre boundary in future seasons. For now, the radius is a deliberate choice. A fifty-kilometre cap from the Powassan shop keeps three things consistent across every property on the route: arrival time stays predictable, fuel and equipment cost stays controlled, and the crew spends most of the day on lawns instead of inside the truck.

The Northern Ontario growing season is short. From the late-thaw window in April to the first frost in October, the crew has a narrow band of weeks to make a property look the way the owner wants it to look. Every extra hour stuck on Highway 17 or Highway 11 is an hour stolen from a hedge that needs trimming or a fertilizer step that has a window of about ten days.

If you are just outside the current radius and the property fits the Greenpoint mix, send an address anyway. Sometimes a future expansion or an existing route can absorb a stop without breaking the schedule. For Ontario-wide turfgrass and property guidance the team often references the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs at omafra.gov.on.ca.

Coverage Map Questions

Service Area Questions, Answered Plainly

How far does Greenpoint actually travel from Powassan?

The hard limit on the coverage map is fifty kilometres of driving distance from 168 Greenpoint Road in Powassan. Inside that radius are six communities: Powassan and Trout Creek to the south, North Bay to the north along Highway 11, Callander on Highway 11 South, and the rural communities of Astorville, Chisholm, and Corbeil along the Wasi Lake and Wasi River corridor. Anything outside that radius is currently outside the route.

Are pricing and service quality the same in every area?

Yes. The mowing rate, hedge rate, and cleanup pricing on the Powassan packages page apply identically in North Bay, Callander, Astorville, Chisholm, and Corbeil. The same crew runs every truck on every town, and the standard practiced at Clear Springs Golf Course travels with them. The only place you will see a quote variance is on lot size, slope, or unusual access (long laneways, beachfront drops, gated entries) which would change pricing in any town.

Can I get service if I am just outside the 50km radius?

Send the address. Greenpoint will not invent coverage to take a job, but a property that sits a few minutes past the line and falls along an existing route day can sometimes be added without disrupting the schedule. Locations south of Trout Creek toward Parry Sound, north past Trout Lake, or east beyond the Wasi River corridor are the most common edge cases. If the answer is no, the team will tell you that on the same call.

Do you serve the same areas year-round or seasonally?

All six towns receive service through the full Northern Ontario growing season, roughly April through October. Powassan, North Bay, Callander, Astorville, Chisholm, and Corbeil are not seasonal-only routes (the crew is on each one every week the season permits). Outside the growing season the focus shifts to fall cleanup work and pre-booking for the following spring. Winter snow services are not currently part of the Greenpoint mix.

How fast does the crew get to me from Powassan?

Drive time from 168 Greenpoint Road varies by destination. Trout Creek and the Powassan core are inside ten minutes. Callander on Highway 11 South is around thirty minutes. North Bay along the Highway 11 corridor is roughly forty minutes. Astorville, Chisholm, and Corbeil along the rural eastern loop fall between thirty and forty-five minutes depending on the address. The crew arrives on a known route day, not on a same-day callout.

Is Your Address Inside the Map?

Send your address. We will tell you yes, no, or how close (no upsell either way), and a free estimate comes back inside one business day.
