The Greenpoint Story
From the Honda line to your front lawn.
I grew up in this area and take great pride in being local, serving the same community I have called home for years. Powassan is not a place I moved to. It is where I was raised, where my friends and family still live, and where I built my life.
For more than thirty years I worked at Honda of Canada Manufacturing. Three decades of building cars on a line teaches you a few things that translate directly to running a lawn care company. You show up on time. You do the same job to the same standard whether anyone is watching or not. You take pride in details nobody else notices because they add up. And when something is wrong, you fix it before it leaves the line, not after.
After I retired from Honda, I turned my focus toward building Greenpoint Lawn Care & Property Maintenance. What started as helping neighbors keep their properties looking sharp has grown into a professional service rooted in the same values I spent thirty years living: hard work, consistency, and attention to detail.
I am also still learning. On weekday mornings I work over at Clear Springs Golf Course in Chisholm, where the head turf guy has been doing this longer than I have been mowing lawns. He is teaching me the science behind what I do at Greenpoint: which seed blends actually thrive in our Northern Ontario climate, when to fertilize and when to wait, how soil pH and shade and traffic patterns change everything. The same turf knowledge that keeps a golf green looking sharp works just as well on your front lawn, and I am bringing every bit of it home with me.
Today Greenpoint serves homeowners and small commercial properties across Powassan, North Bay, Astorville, Callander, Chisholm, and Corbeil. Lawn mowing, hedge trimming, tree pruning, spring and fall cleanups, seeding and fertilizing. Whatever the property needs, the same crew shows up on the same day every week, and the work gets done to the same standard every visit.
When Greenpoint needed a truck wrap and lawn signs to look the part, I went to Seemore Graphics right here in North Bay. Local supporting local matters most when local actually means local. The truck you see at your property is the same truck Mark and his team wrapped, and that is the kind of small detail that adds up to a real community.
Our goal is simple: keep your property looking its best while making lawn care one less thing you have to worry about.
